Description

salvia tsunami (featuring a performance of Sitting on Top of the World by Dave Ray on guitar and vocals and Tony Glover on harmonica)—riffs on 2 photos of salvia flowers. " Sitting on Top of the World " is from Dave and Tony's 1993 album Picture Has Faded. For those of you who don't know about Dave, he was part of the blues trio (Spider John) Koerner, Ray, and Glover from, as Dave joked, "the wrong end of the Mississippi" (Minneapolis) who recorded a series of excellent acoustic blues albums called Blues Rags & Hollers in the early 1960's and were in the vanguard of the folk (and blues) music revival that occurred in the USA at that time. Dave was an excellent singer and acoustic and electric 6- and 12-string guitar player. No copyright infringement is intended; the rights to this music are owned by the artists or their survivors. Since I am using this music for non-commercial purposes to educate those not familiar with these wonderful musicians, especially Dave, who has been a hero of mine for 50 years, I would hope it is considered "fair use" under Section 107 of the Copyright Act of 1976.
