The 42-year-old, who pipped veteran Tom Watson to the 2009 Open for the most prestigious of his six PGA Tour wins and has played in five Ryder Cups, made the announcement on Twitter writing, "Since I was 15 years old lisacink has been my biggest supporter. It's now time for me to return the favor." In addition, Cink released an official statement saying, "Last week my wife, Lisa, and I received some unfortunate news.
