Many visitors have said to have been pushed & voilently attacked by unseen forces, scratch marks appear on peoples bodies after leaving the hospital. It was first established in 1904 at a cost of $147.000 , it then opened it doors in 1905 as the santa Fe Coastlines Hospital, it was a high standard healthcare facility dedicated to employees of the Santa Fe Railroad, where they were treated with the best of care, the Hospital even raised there own Cows, Chickens & grown there own Vegetables, so the patients were given the very best milk, eggs & vegetables. During the early 20th century, the hospital flourished as did Los Angeles' surrounding Boyle Heights neighbourhood. In 1924, Santa Fe Coastlines was rapidly expanded, which obviously meant more staff & patients would likely need to be seen. The hospital had to be expanded & in 1937 it would then become Linda Vista Community Hospital, unfortunately during the Great Depression & World War Two the hospital started to decline & lost it's good reputation that it once had. East Los Angeles started to change dramatically with huge amount of crimes occurring frequently, funding to the Hospital started to be lowered, which meant less staff to treat the ever growing list of new patients coming in, this caused the Hospitals death rates to rise. By the late 1970s the gangs of East Los Angeles started to take over the neighbourhood, flooding the hospital with violence and victims of gunshots. Many poor patients were being admitted that had no insurance, which took its toll on the Hospital & in 1988 the Linda Vista stopped accepting ambulances in their hospital. The quality of care continued to decline as doctors moved to other Hospitals. In 1991 the last ever patient checked out of Linda Vista. While most believe the hospital closed due to lack of funds, there are many stories that the hospital's high death rate was due to mistreatment and abuse on the patients. Since closing its doors, the hospital deteriorated rapidly & a lot of ghostly activity has been reported around the place, they have been actual ghost sightings witnessed by people, A doctor has been witnessed looking out of the windows of the top floor of the building, A young woman has been seen rushing down the endless maze of corridors, some have even witnessed mental patients faces screaming & shouting around the building, ghostly voices have been heard that makes people feel extremely uncomfortable & want to get away from the area as fast as they can. Another frequent sighting is of a young girl who was said to have been hit by a car, this girl is sometimes heard crying & at other times she is even heard giggling, she is often seen outside the front of the hospital & even inside the building too. Ghost hunters who have investigated this building, have all had similar experiences with screams, cries & moans being heard, shadow people appearing around the corridors & in the rooms, reports of green lights appearing & lights flashing on & off just outside the building. The elevators seem to malfunction, equipment with batteries being drained very quickly. Some have reported feeling as if they are ice cold & unable to move, many have wanted to run for there lives when touched by unseen hands. The boiler room is said to have a very negative atmosphere about it, there is a box in that room that is full of human ashes. It's said that the hospital had so many deceased bodies, that they burned them in the incinerator and just forgot about them. This building was also used a Psychiatric ward & in room 323, it's said to have a demonic entity that roams around the room. This entity has been known to growl & physically attack people, many have left with scratch marks on there bodies. More real ghost stories ...
