Webcast Origination: May 17, 2012 @ 1PM, P.S.T. Meet Jeff Monahan - Actor, Director, Producer, Writer and Consultant. Jeff got his start when he was a police officer for three years and worked extensively in undercover narcotics. This experience led him into acting professionally, and also formed the basis of his first screenplay. Since breaking into the biz, he's worked extensively with the creative collective known as "The Pittsburgh Film Mafia" (a collective of talent native to the Pittsburgh area including such names as George Romero, Tom Savini, Tom Atkins, Marty Schiff, ect.). Jeff's taught screenwriting, acting technique and film production at NYU and Carnegie Mellon University. He's recently completed his first novel, The Collaboration. His production company, 72nd. St. Films, is now actively developing and producing a slate of films. A profitable producer, he also consults and advises new writers and producers in ways to improve story and marketability while finding ways to cut costs during the production process.
