Description

After the terrible murders of two NYPD officers this past weekend, President Obama has yet to say anything on-camera about the tragedy. Former New York Governor George Pataki joined Megyn Kelly on "The Kelly File" tonight and said that Obama should be out there expressing his outrage and his support for police. "There's only one person responsible for the death of these two police officers, and that's the barbarian who pulled the trigger," Pataki said. "But what has happened is a climate has been created over the last two years where what was one of the most revered institutions in America, the NYPD, for political has been demonized." Pataki said that Attorney General Eric Holder and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio helped create that climate, and he called out de Blasio for not condemning anti-police protesters who called for "dead cops." "This rhetoric that was used against [police], those demonstrators calling for them to be killed created that climate where a crazy, mad person like the one who pulled the trigger could do this."
