Description

Downtown Dog House CCO Truman Brooks has a very clear boundary for playmates. Until a puppy is about 5 1/2 to 6 months old, he won't have anything to do with them. Once they get to that point, like Nora in this video, it's game on! Why is that? It has to do with the puppy having started the shift from actual puppy (aka infant/toddler/child) phase into adolescence. Technically that starts around 8 months, but in the couple of months before the pup begins (like the "tween" phase of humans) to exhibit slightly more "mature" behaviors... Their scent shifts too...though that's something we humans can't discern. :)
