Description

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Dozens of mourners clashed with riot police on Tuesday following the funerals for two teenagers killed in a car bomb attack in a mainly Shi'ite village in Bahrain on Saturday. Anti-government protesters attacked riot police with Molotov cocktails, rocks and iron rods. Riot police were stationed along the main road suspecting violence following the funeral and fired tear gas at the protesters in a bid to disperse the crowd. Earlier on Tuesday hundreds of mourners joined the funeral procession for the two victims, aged sixteen and eighteen. Mourners carried coffins which were covered in photos of the deceased through the streets of the village of Maqsha before gathering at a cemetery for their burial. The car blew up in a mainly Shi'ite village, and the interior ministry said the initial investigation showed that a homemade bomb had detonated inside the vehicle.
