Description

Alec Kersenboom treated Megan Heutmaker '18 to a serenade with a view. Just down the hill and right in our backyard, one of San Francisco's largest free music festivals, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, runs Oct. 3-5. (Full schedule: http://bit.ly/10psMhZ) Financier and philanthropist Warren Hellman created the 14-year-old festival, which has grown to more than 100 acts and seven stages. USF honored Warren's daughter Tricia Gibbs (and her husband and partner Richard Gibbs) with the USF California Prize in 2013 for helping the community in her own right, running the San Francisco Free Clinic.
