www.virginislandfestival.com Virgin Island Festival, taking place on 15 June 2013 hosts not only worldwide known disk jockeys and artists but also the local ones. The festival starting at noon and ending late in the evening is the most inclusive music festival of Cyprus. In the organization of the festival, a gigantic stage and a small tent stage will be set and the artists will start their live performances from 13.00 at noon until 02.00 in the morning. Besides the performances, bars and food stands will be set up to satisfy the needs of the attendants and for the need to use the bathrooms, portable toilets and washbasins will be erected in hygiene conditions. Patio umbrellas and big tents will be set to prevent attendants from the sun, hundreds of big cushions will be placed and there would be many other activities along with the performances. For the festival, marketing blitz will be taking up for two and a half months (1 April -- 15 June) in North and South Cyprus and abroad. The festival will take place on a 15,000 meter-square grass training ground surrounded by iron fence which is placed 150 meters to the north west of Nicosia Atatürk Stadium . There will be 2 different entrances at the festival area. One of these would be the VIP entrance which will also be used as service road and the other would be for normal tickets. In the festival area, there will be a gigantic stage as of the ones abroad and a tent stage which will be set for alternative music genres. V.I.P service will be given in 2 different categories. Each V.I.P will have its own bar and WC. Apart from the V.I.P sections, there would be a big bar and food corner. Besides the food and drink stands, there will be festival related products on sale (T-shirt, bandana, glow-stick, key-ring, lighter, etc...), tent of security and lost property, tent booths for festival sponsors for promotion and/or product display and top up points for barcode wristbands. Equipped to serve 8000 people, food and drink stands will be set to serve 7-8 different types of meals, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. For security, there will be 60 fully-equipped security guards as well as closed-circuit camera systems at specific points. Lost property tent, and a temporary tent of police station,1 km away from the festival area, will be placed to enable the support of police, fire brigade and ambulance for any need that might arise. LINE - UP Festival's headliner is referred to as "COSMIC GATE" who is one of the most popular electronic music DJ group and one of the best known artists of electronic music, "JES", will be taking the stage. Under these names, nationally and globally very well-known artists such as "Rank 1, Daniel Wanrooy, Joop, 4Strings, Mc Stretch" will be performing during the festival. Additionally, by the time the agreements are concluded there will be 8 foreign artists taking the stage in total. The festival, which targets electronic music lovers living in Cyprus and those in Cyprus in the meantime, is expected to have a large turnout between 7000-8000.
