Description

In October 2013, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra played a concert at Paisley Abbey with The Twilight Sad and Admiral Fallow. John Logan conducted the RSNO on the night, and also wrote new arrangements of the two bands' music for full Symphony Orchestra. Phillip Hague of Admiral Fallow also arranged score for the night. On the morning of the concert John Logan led a workshop along with Phil and other Admiral Fallow members to pass some experience from the collaboration to a group of young bands from the Glasgow / Paisley area. This introductory workshop kicked of the RSNO New Bands programme, in which RSNO musicians will be mentoring new bands throughout the year, adding orchestration to original music. RSNO New Bands has been made possible by Glasgow Airport Flightpath Fund and the University of the West of Scotland (UWS).
