Description

In the first 5–15 minutes of an emergency event at Princeton University, first responders can drill into a site map for such details as fire lanes, hydrants, and primary utility shut-offs in and around buildings. Princeton was an early adopter of Mobile technology—which is now critical, especially for emergency response. Princeton manages 11.5M sf (460 buildings) with ARCHIBUS, the communications “hub” for all Princeton enterprise applications. Purchased ~15 yr ago to manage space and occupancy information on desktop computers, ARCHIBUS now impacts such key departments as Public Safety, EH&S, Sustainability, Facilities, and the Registrar’s and Scheduling Offices.
