Nice... - Fake Blood Sardo all the way for me, 4/5 - Fatboy Slim Sardo is bangin 4/5 - B. Traits (BBC Radio1) Nice ep... really like Corinthians!! 4/5 - autoKratz Sounds cool! 4/5 - Andi Durrant (Capital FM) Corinthians is wonderful. Big club workout - Breakonomics Sick - Rattus Rattus 8/10 - DJ Magazine 8.5/10 - DJ Mag Espana Following the success of last year's acclaimed debut album Black Market Heart Surgery, which spawned three singles of the month in DJ Magazine, and was Mixmag's Electro Album Of The Month, DPPLGNGRS return with a fresh double header for Hottwerk Records that refuses to submit to genre pigeonholing. The title track Sardo (named after a 1980s movie villain) is a dark, brooding affair where old school synths throb, and the early rave, breaks, electro and techno influences are worn proudly upon DPPLGNGRS sleeves. The eclectic melting pot of DPPLGNGRS influences are also reflected in the biblically-proportioned Corinthians, which here takes the techno baton and strides brashly into italo disco territory. Heading into 2013, DPPLGNGRS show no signs of slowing down with releases lined up for DJ Pierre's Afro Acid label, Arcade Pony Records, France's Boxon Records, and (of course) their label home Hottwerk; a brand new live show and a string of DJ dates are also in store. 2012 proved to be a huge year for Craig and Tobias... They managed the rare feat of gaining the coveted Moneyshot (Single Of The Month) on the electro page of DJ Magazine three times in twelve months, with further excellent reviews in Mixmag and DJ Magazine Espana, and a feature in DJ Mag described their sound as a mash-up of purple electro, squelchy bleep techno, discoid house, and bass-heavy beats bizness. DPPLGNGRS have quickly gathered fans and momentum with their dancefloor-decimating productions and remixes, and energetic electrically-charged DJ sets and live shows. Having taken their techno action all over the UK and Europe, DPPLGNGRS have left audiences smouldering in their wake. Their debut album Black Market Heart Surgery dropped in Autumn 2012, gaining various props and becoming Mixmag's Electro Album Of The Month. Both eyes firmly fixed on the dancefloor with a deftness of touch and an undeniable clubbers' nous - DJ Magazine A pounding onslaught that really packs a punch - Mixmag
