Description

At just 15 years old, singer/guitarist Lydia Night is already considered a seasoned music veteran. She began writing songs at 6, formed her first band at 7 and soon after became a member of Ryan Gosling & Zach Shields' Dead Man's Bones. At 11, she formed her second band, a two piece, with drummer Marlhy Murphy. Pretty Little Demons released an EP(Flowers) and a full length(Unknown Species) in addition to doing a US tour of Girls Rock Camps, SXSW in 2013 and Lollapalooza in 2014 all while playing all the instruments on their records and getting their homework done. Regrettes are Lydia's latest project with friends Genessa Gariano(guitar), Sage Nicole(bass) and live show drummer Maxx Morando. Regrettes have been tearing up the LA club scene playing with Kate Nash, Peaches, Bleached, Deap Vally, PINS, La Luz, Kim & the Created and Summer Twins leaving L.A.'s jaded rock critics to write such things as "Everybody was floored by Regrettes—the new poster children for local teen garage rock." and "Regrettes rocked with a ferocity and penchant for hooks that schools most indie rockers twice their age. They will surely run an empire in ten years tops." In late 2015, they were hand picked by Jack Off Jill singer Jessicka Addams to open for JOJ's farewell tour in the UK. Look out for Regrettes' debut record, produced by British singer/songwriter Kate Nash and Grammy Award winner Tom Biller(Warpaint, Karen O., Kate Nash) to be released in spring 2016 and make sure to check out their increasingly legendary live show at a town near you Subscribe: http://www.youtube.com/user/sxsw?sub_confirmation=1 About SXSW: Started in 1987, South by Southwest (SXSW) is a set of film, interactive, and music festivals and conferences that take place early each year in mid-March in Austin, Texas. SXSW’s original goal was to create an event that would act as a tool for creative people and the companies they work with to develop their careers, to bring together people from a wide area to meet and share ideas. That continues to be the goal today whether it is music, film or interactive technologies.
