Description

"Heroin: Not A Problem, An Epidemic." Overdose deaths from heroin and other illegal drugs has reached epidemic proportions in Porter County. Moreover, the vast majority of inmates currently in Porter County Jail are there based on crimes directly related to substance abuse. From his vantage point on the front lines of this epidemic, Porter County Sheriff David Reynolds has seen first hand how heroin has destroyed the lives of so many families and has resolved to educate the public about this crisis. Sheriff Reynolds believes his number one responsibility is the protection of every citizen in Porter County, by helping to identify and arrest those responsible for bringing heroin into Porter County, but he also believes it's his responsibility to educate parents and their children on the seriousness of this epidemic. This why the Porter County Sheriff's Department has partnered with JBH Productions and the Porter County Substance Abuse Council to Produce this PSA; "Heroin: Not A Problem, An Epidemic." With herion overdose deaths increasing every year, Porter County Indiana is suffering through a heroin epidemic. Produced with the help and assistant of; Porter County Sheriff David M. Reynolds, the Porter County Sheriff's Office, the Porter County Substance Abuse Council, Lake County HIDTA, and the Community Action Drug Coalition of Porter County.
