Description

The Creative Recovery Project was established to explore the role arts and culture can play in supporting communities impacted by natural disaster. This video is a small window into the ideas, processes and outcomes of the Queensland Creative Recovery Pilot Project which occured from 2011 to 2012. It shows the many people involved in the community projects, research and critical dialogue that has taken place over the life of the Pilot. We would like to thank the artists, community members and organisations of the Cassowary Coast, Ipswich and Lockyer Valley who have supported and made the project possible. As well as the work of the Creative Resilience Alliance, that is made up of Cross Road Arts, Human, Feral Arts and in partnership with Contact Inc.This project is supported by the Australian Council of the Arts and by Arts Queensland.
