Description

John Tory discusses the need to collaborate in order to fight economic gridlock. "Let's take ourselves 25 years ahead and ask ourselves how do we want to make decisions in 2013 for our children moving forward?" He discusses the need to reshape governments themselves because they have fallen decades behind in the way they extend and use our money and deliver services to people. Sometimes they come to the conclusion that they can't afford to do certain things. When in fact they can't afford to not do them. He encourages everyone to sign the pledge at www.32.com. John Tory helped to found CivicAction and served on the Board of Directors before becoming the voluntary Chair of CivicAction. Mr. Tory is a lawyer, business leader, community activist and broadcaster. He was formerly an elected representative serving as a Member of Provincial Parliament for Dufferin Peel Wellington Grey, as Leader of the Ontario PC Party and as Leader of the Official Opposition in the Ontario Parliament.
