Against All Odds: Ohio State Buckeyes 2014, First CFP National Champions

Description

In early September of 2014, the Buckeyes' National Championship hopes were all but over and with them the Big Ten's. After the loss to underdog Virginia Tech and Va Tech's subsequently terrible season, the college football world wrote Ohio State off until next season, which would supposedly be Urban Meyer's best yet. The Buckeyes instead had something else in mind. While commentators and pundits debated rankings of SEC, Big 12, and Pac 12 teams, Urban Meyer and Ohio State continued their path of carnage under the radar. By the time November came, the Buckeyes had become a formidable force and grabbed the nation's attention by laying waste to Michigan State. From there the team seemed all but unstoppable until their unlikely Heisman hopeful, JT Barrett, was forced to step aside with a season ending injury suffered by none other than That Team Up North. Into the void stepped the next man up, Cardale Jones. The once forgotten about quarter back stunned the nation and the Wisconsin Badgers in the Big Ten Championship game and continued to defy the odds and the predictions of so-called experts, leading the team to its 8th national title. I've spent many hours compiling this film chronicling the road to the first ever College Football Playoff National Championship. I used videos from the Ohio State Football Program, from ESPN, from other YouTube users, and many other sources to tell the story. Hopefully you'll enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it, and I hope you can relive these moments with the same excitement I do. GO BUCKS!! Thomas Rupp
