On April 22nd at the U.S. EPA's Region IX Office in San Francisco, over 65 organizations came out for a historic Bay Area action to tell the White House, Congress, and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency: Protect our climate, health, and communities, not polluters! From the Bay Area to the Central Valley, support was gathered for Greenaction and community groups in Kettleman City who are fighting to stop the expansion of Chemical Waste Management's Hazardous Waste and PCB landfill, for the people of Gonzales in the Salinas Valley who are fighting a proposed plasma arc garbage incinerator, for the people of Richmond who are fighting Chevron's pollution, and for the indigenous people who are fighting the proposed Keystone pipeline. Tell President Obama, the U.S. EPA and California EPA: Stop dumping hazardous wastes in our communities! Uphold Environmental Justice and Stop Climate Change!
