Here is my short film for the recent "Pens to Lens" contest here in Champaign. The contest started with local area school kids grades K-12 writing short five page scripts about anything they wanted which they submitted back in February. Over 100 scripts were entered into the contest which local area filmmakers read through and chose on a first come, first served basis. Nine scripts were chosen to be made into short films which were quickly made over the next two months and entered for the Pens to Lens gala and red carpet event on May 29, 2013 at the Art Theater in downtown Champaign, IL. "Dinner Party Antics" was written by a young Rantoul 8th grader, Aly Hastings. It tells the story of a couple, Jim and Jenna, arriving at Jim's cousin Dave's house for their third dinner party. While waiting at the front door, Jim and Jenna reminisce about their previous two disastrous dinner parties with Dave and each of his girlfriends at the time before going in for their third installment with Dave.
