Description

Done with the background sound from the training scene of "The Will To Act" - Batman Begins. I bought this book about a year ago, and I have many other golf books too. Here's my take on it's content. If you do not have a passion for geometry, analysis, angles, and variations to do something, then this book will only confuse you. It is not intended to teach you one golf swing, but many ways to do a golf swing, its like a reference book for understanding different golf patterns. So with this in mind, the value I got out of it is from understanding the different variations of creating a swing and then its just a matter of trial and error and trying to execute the swings described in the book. I enjoyed challenging myself to learn the different patterns and did more out of proving to myself what is gained from doing a certain pattern to gain a stronger understanding and see what I am capable of doing. I figure since I started this golf mission and it's still early, 4 years in, why not explore and find the most effienct and consistent pattern now before ingraining a final swing, that way in the long term I will have solidified the swing for later in life and not lose time exploring anymore and just practice the one pattern to muscle memory. With my background in engineering I like to figure out how something works and why it works, and if there are other ways to make it work the same or better....always tweeking and analysing it because I'm not satisfied, constantly comparing to find out which pattern is possible and delivers the most consistent and efficient swing. I'm very close to narrowing down which pattern works best for me, it takes time to first learn it, and then I have to play a few rounds to test out how well it performs underpressure without relapsing to an old swing. This was the early problems, but now that my understanding is better, I feel like my pace of change is much faster than the first time I tried making swing changes. If I see it I can do it, if it changes I will adapt, if I make mistakes I will learn. Making It Happen - BreakerOhio
