Description

Album: Dale Thompson & The Religious Overtones Title: Three Rusty Nails Artist: Dale Thompson Band: Dale Thompson: Vocals Troy Thompson: Guitar Donny Erwin: Bass Bob Ramsey: Organ Miles Davis: Baritone Sax Gary Falk: Tenor Sax Jerry McBroom: Drums Also Featuring: Steve Ferguson, David Hune, Greg Martin, Jim Baugher This second solo effort by Dale Thompson is much different from his first. He combined the talents of the region's most talented musicians to assist him this time. This recording, like his first, is a concept that shows one man's struggle through life. Many of the stories that are incorporated are from Dale's past. Using real horns, keyboards, and many other unusual instruments, Dale produced a very believable blues recording. This record is available in stores and was originally distributed by Rugged Records. Lyrics: Bullet proof body walking through walls Vegas like a birth mark let the chips lie where they fall Gun powder on his corn flakes get's him high like caffeine Rolled his own cigarettes mind full of jealousy Brass knuckle collection good with a tire iron Prozac kept him steady black coffee was the snake charm Never bit his nails cause his knuckles drug the ground Now he's fishing with Jesus outside of town Used to drink the muddy water drank it from a bone Danced with spirits promenading from stone to stone Bruised like the Bismarck heart like the arctic ice Eyes as big as half dollars When he threw the dice He found love on three rusty nails Surrendered all on three rusty nails Used to sharpen his fist on a smooth wet stone Scars stitched like a railroad track up and down his arms Then he saw life cursed upon a tree Like a lone flower at cave hill cemetery Copyright Bride Music/SESAC (originally produced by Rugged Records 1995) All Rights Reserved.
