Description

Welcome to Atop the Fourth Wall, where bad comics burn. In this episode, Linkara looks at a PSA comic about oranges and the Avengers! http://atopthefourthwall.com Originally uploaded May 4th, 2015. ORIGINAL INFO: Saving the world with orange juice and Florida! RUMINATIONS: With the movie’s primary filming done with, I had to quickly throw together the Comic Book Quickies episode and premiere it later in the week than originally intended. However, that also meant that I needed to get another episode put together for Monday or lose a week. I try to keep to my schedule as best as I can, especially when it comes to my Patreon-sponsored reviews, but the scheduled review – for a comic strip called “My Cage” – was not going to happen if I had stuck with it for that week. Aside from the fact that it was a very different sort of episode since it was dealing with a gag-a-day comic strip, it was also talking about a year’s worth of material, which would take time and attention to turn into an episode. I just couldn’t do it in three days. Fortunately, the Patreon sponsor allowed me to push it back a bit to a more reasonable spot and I had to quickly find something else to do. Fortunately, Viga came to the rescue here, searching through my stockpile of review material until she came across this little Avengers PSA comic about an orange juice-themed superhero. It was a PSA comic, it was a bit goofy, but most importantly it was SHORT. Once that was out of the way, I could get back on track with the show again with the Patreon-sponsored video for the following week – one that was going to be a lot more fun. If you're wondering why Nash is on the title card, it's really very simple - on his show, "What the Fuck is Wrong With You," he looks at insane news stories that are brought to his attention. And unfortunately, Florida seems to be a breeding ground for the most frequently insane stuff, so a superhero from Florida wasn't something he'd necessarily like.
