Description
http://www.autismtreatment.org This game is designed to help your child interact with you. Whether it is to take part in a game with you by physically participating or by verbally participating. Maybe you want to encourage your child to construct their own original sentences, either way this could be a great game to try with your child on the Autism spectrum. Once you have built this game and your child is showing you that they are interested and motivated to play, stop along the way and make requests of your child. If you are working on verbal participation, pause and give them time to speak, or ask them a question. If you are working on physical participation, request that they get the ladder to bring Elmo down, or to put the bandages on him to make him whole again. Remember that these requests are not "have to" it is ok if your child does not respond, they are opportunities for your children to grow, and there will be many more. The more opportunities we offer our children to grow the more likely they will take us up on the offer. For more information, visit http://www.autismtreatmentcenter.org/
