http://lorenweisman.com/ http://themusicbusinessbook.com/ Loren Weisman Tips - Avoiding Latest post, Update & other bad words including new, check it out and the rest of the words only helping you in the now. Another Loren Weisman: Consultant, Speaker & Coach Music Biz Video Blog. Here is a simple tip and I am putting my name on it, hence being called a Loren Weisman Tip. Stop using the linear and overused words to promote a visit to a post or a click through to something!!! No, I did not come up with this tip and it is pretty obvious, but still all too commonly ignored. These are bad words. Bad words like what George Carlin used to say. By opening up with Click for the latest post, the new update to my video blog, check out this new link up today, or anything else like that becomes bad music marketing and redundant ineffective social media promotion. So we identified the problem, now for the ranty Loren Weisman Tip. Yup, talking in the third person for a second, but testing out an content concept and not that arrogant! Anyways, Think about using a creative or short phrase that will draw in the person to click through, read, listen to or watch what ever you are posting for that day, but also a lead in that will draw some one in in another week, or month or year. The compounding of uniform content that will draw some one in that day, but also can draw some one that is scrolling down a page down the line is going to be that much better for your music marketing and your social media promotion. I was on a so called "marketing expert's" page where every damn post is started with latest update, new post or new link. I kept scrolling down and saw it over and over and over again. This is ineffective and after the post is no longer the newest, it's a lie. Create lead in's to draw your fans and potential fans in for that moment but also for moments far off and down the line.
