Transform Homelessness Advocacy WAtch off of the CTEHV (Committee To End Homelessness Victoria) presents a film documenting some of the state of homelessness and the police state around our homeless and street involved family right here in Victoria B.C Canada. Many have documented this over the years and I highly recommend you watch Hide And Go Homeless and see what has not changed and how many people dedicate their lives on the street and housed to help end needless suffering. Watch also the newly released film The House I Live In and see where we may go if this state is not stopped here and NOW! Together as community we can do this and must, for our future children. I as film maker saw the need for a Cop Watch years before this film. It is with great respect of community that I announce we are just starting, really, the community based Advocacy WAtch aspect of this movie. Its a type of Human Rights WAtch and it formed as a result of this film. You will, in the full length coming out soon, hear from many folks, some of them are available for screenings. IF we show at a film festival and cannot get that city, we will ask that the festival get in touch with, and we will help if needed, anti poverty organisations, harm reduction organisations and most importantly Drug Users Unions as well as Mental Health Consumer groups, Community groups and radical anarchist groups. IF we say we want to help lift a people out of oppression, our ancestors would and have shared with us the fact that we must lead ourselves out, we WILL get help when we step out. This film kind of proves the power of diverse love and compassion with accountability then forgiveness.
