Gibraltar pushes to play in the big league

The white-collar football battle for membership of UEFA has lasted twenty years and seen the Gibraltar Football Association in court. It's been a long road but European football's governing body votes on Gibraltar becoming its 54th member this Friday. Gibraltar was forced to go to court after Spain allegedly lobbied UEFA to change its criteria for membership when Gibraltar first applied. Politics it is believed over the sovereignty of this rock was behind the football inquisition. Part of the Gibraltar UEFA bid is the promise of a new eight thousand capacity stadium build next to this Mosque at the south end of the rock overlooking North Africa. Al Jazeera's Matt Rumsey reports from The Rock of Gibraltar.
