Description

Africa's sugar producers are struggling to cope with a glut in global supplies, which has pushed prices lower. Uganda's sugar industry is now grappling with an unsustainable level of stockpiles, which producers are yet to find buyers for. As CCTV's Michael Baleke reports, the issue is made even worse by unfavorable regional tax regimes, which limit, or completely block exports into markets like Kenya.
