Description

This video was created for the National Academy of Engineering's, "Engineering for You" Video contest. It highlights Caltech Engineering's research by Prof. Morteza Gharib's group on heart pumps and flow, Prof. Yu-Chong Tai's group on retinal implants, and Prof. Joel Burdick's group on high-density epidural spinal stimulation. These are only a few of the research areas covered by the Division of Engineering and Applied Science at Caltech where we work at the leading edges of fundamental science to invent the technologies of the future. Starring our students and postdocs, including a performance by members of one of Caltech's a cappella groups, Out of Context, we aim to capture the vitality, impact, and sheer joy of brilliant engineering.
