Description

A new era of invention; 'Exhibition' is a collection of eclectic dance miniatures featuring Stopgap's emerging artist company Sg2. 'The Garden' Referencing The Garden of Earthly Delights by Dutch Artist Hieronymus Bosch, a haunting stillness descends into a torturous hell. Forbidden Fruit leads to desperation, fear and retribution. Originally Choreographed by Nathalie Pernette and re imagined by Lucy Bennett, Stopgap Dance Company dancers and the Sg2 dancers. Composer: Jim Pinchen 'Traces' Reflecting the patterns we create through the traces we leave and the threads that connect us. As our trails cross and our patterns interweave we create a web of support that allows us to keep moving forward. Choreographed by David Willdridge and the Sg2 dancers Composer: Jim Pinchen 'Bound For...' Nadenh is from Cambodia and this piece explores his relationship with his wheelchair and how it is part of who he has become. Choreographed by Tomos Young and the Sg2 dancers Music Production: Jim Pinchen Khmer sign Language: Siobhan Hayes 'Slide with the Sun' Slide with the Sun captures the dancers in four moments, following their journey exploring elements of quiet individuality, their sense of play and competition that leads them to the discovery of a perfect act.
