Kaiden Degas is an official write-in candidate for the upcoming special election in CA's 80th assembly district on May 21, 2013. Kaiden Degas is a Libertarian, not a Republican or a Democrat. If he makes second place in the top two, he'll give voters a choice other than two Democrats or a Democrat and Republican. Help him be the first alternative party candidate in CA to best the oppressive top two elections system. Kaiden is fiscally responsible, socially accepting, and stands for decentralization of power, non-aggression, and liberty. Kaiden is the only candidate who supports balancing CA's state budget by going after the real budget busters. He will reduce spending on education by cutting waste on patronage jobs, superintendent salaries, and more aspects of education that suck resources into the pockets of the administrators and away from the students. He supports school choice. He will also reduce prison spending by working to repeal victimless crime laws that crowd our prisons and waste police resources, in addition to making criminals out of non-violent people. It costs more to incarcerate than to educate. Kaiden is the only candidate who supports the 2nd amendment unequivocally. Kaiden is the only candidate who opposes corporate subsidies. He supports free markets, not corporatism or special favors for anyone. Libertarians believe in individual rights, and treating corporations or any other groups as above anyone else in the eyes of the law or spending or policy is the antithesis of individual rights. Kaiden is the only candidate who supports legalizing cannabis and hemp. Kaiden is the only candidate who will fervently fight for your civil liberties, and will utilize the state's 10th amendment powers to nullify the NDAA, Patriot Act, and curb the police state. Kaiden Degas is not a politician. He's a naturalized citizen from Myanmar, a military dictatorship, and understands that power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. When you increase government, it has to be enforced by a policeman with a gun, and the more government grows, the more force is used and we go down the road to tyranny. He supports immigration reform and making it easier for people to immigrate legally. He's a political outsider who is an accountant by trade, a perfect match to manage the state's budget as well as keep them out of your personal life. Write in Kaiden Degas May 21st!
