• What is Frequency?

Frequency is your personal video aggregator – quite simply, a personal video service. It's the fastest and easiest way to watch video online, with more video available from more places than anywhere else on the internet.

Frequency creates personalized video channels for you from your favorite sources – news, entertainment, music, sports, technology – as well as everything your friends are sharing on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
  • Where do you find all these videos?

Frequency is powered with real-time monitoring of hundreds of thousands of websites and other online video sources, as well as what is being shared with you via Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

When you connect your Facebook and Twitter accounts to Frequency, every video shared by your friends is now in one place, along with all the other video you're interested in. Similarly, when you connect your YouTube account to Frequency, all of your YouTube uploads and favorites are available in one place – on Frequency. Frequency makes it really easy to see, in one place, everything that’s happening in your world. And at the same time, we always provide links to the source of every video, so that the websites in your world are never more than one click away.
  • How do I get the Frequency iPad app?

You can download the free Frequency app in the Apple App Store
  • What can I do with the iPad app?

The iPad app works in much the same way as the website, but is built to take full advantage of the iPad's unique gesture interface. On the app, you can follow your favorite channels and trending topics, watch videos your friends are posting via social networks, favorite videos and save them to watch later. You can also share videos on Facebook and Twitter.
  • Can I watch the things I follow on both the iPad and the website?

The Frequency app works seamlessly with Frequency.com. Connect Facebook or set up an account using your email address. You can access your "Tuner" - all the channels and topics you're following - from either the app or the website. And if you're logged into both the website and the iPad app at the same time, anything you do on one is immediately reflected on the other. If you already have an account on Frequency.com, you can find everything you’re already following on the app.
  • Why do some videos and channels on the website not show up on the iPad?

Some video is only available in flash which can't be played on the iPad. So we don't show you those videos in the app. If an entire channel can't be played on the iPad we don't even show the channel, but you can still watch it on the website.
  • How do I follow Channels, Topics, and People?

You'll find everything you might want to follow and watch on Frequency in the Guide, which you access from the Guide link at the top center of your screen, just above the Tuner. In the Guide you can find trending topics and hundreds of channels in categories like News, Music, Technology, Food and many more. You can also connect your Facebook and Twitter accounts while in the Guide – just click on the Social button. Explore the Guide to see the full spectrum of great video you can watch on Frequency.
  • What's the Tuner and how do I use it?

The Tuner runs across the top of your screen, right under our logo. It contains everything you are following – channels, topics and people. Simply click on an icon in the Tuner to watch that channel. Whenever you follow something new you'll see it show up in your Tuner in seconds.
Your Tuner also contains some channels that Frequency puts in there for you. This includes Your Highlights, Frequency Top 25 and some others. Your Highlights contains the best video from everything you're following, from the Frequency Top 25, and from your connected social accounts.

The buttons in the Tuner function like the presets on your car radio. Just push the relevant button instantly to tune into and watch that channel of your favorite videos.

You can also easily change where your favorite channels appear in your Tuner – just drag an icon to the left or right and it drops into the new position. And you can combine multiple icons into one – what we call a Smart Channel – just by tuning into that Channel and clicking the arrow next to the channel name above the playlist.
